Father Flynn was the boy's mentor. He taught Latin, canon law, and school life. Father Flynn is a man who studied at an Irish school in Rome. The central focus is the story of Father Flynn's death from three cerebral hemorrhage at the age of 65 (R.I.P.: Rest In Peace). The bride died of dementia and paralysis after collapsing with three cerebral hemorrhage. Old Cotter who tells the the death to uncle and aunt, said that Flynn was strange, but in the end he don’t say what the problem is. The boy was afraid of what Old Cotter would say. The next day, boy visits Father Flynn's house. The obituary of the 65-year-old deceased was attached to the door ring on the porch. The boy was not sad, insensitive, and rather liberated at the death of the bride who was a mentor.
'That's weird. It's not the atmosphere of mourning on that day as well as me. When I heard Father Flynn's obituary, I felt liberated from something and I was rather sorry.' In this situation, it seems to Old Cotter was a pedophilia or child abuser.
The death was also meant a new start (of boy or the catholic).
